My building for the Staromestske Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague reinterprets the character of Old Town Square through a contemporary lens. It respects the historic rhythm and human scale of its surroundings while introducing new layers of openness, transparency, and light. The arched base connects to the traditional arcades of Prague, while the upper terraces and green roofs create public spaces that activate the square throughout the year. Using modern materials like glass and metal, the design forms a dialogue between past and present—bridging history with modern culture. The museum becomes both a cultural landmark and a living extension of the city’s social life.
